Welcome to Richmond
Richmond Equestrian Centre is situated off the A1 between the North
Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales. (For a map and full directions
100 acres is is the most picturesque of equestrian venues.
As
a competition venue REC boasts some of the finest facilities in
the North of England. The large indoor arena allows us to offer
both affiliated and unaffiliated Show Jumping and Dressage as well
as providing an excellent facility for teaching and lecture demonstrations.
Complemented by three all weather outdoor arenas and a large working
hunter complex there is plenty of space to ride whatever the weather.
Richmond Equestrian Centre is renowned for its efficiently run
competitions, good prizes, excellent food and clean toilets.
During
the Spring months, as well as Show Jumping and Dressage, the Eventing
season gets underway. Built in 45 acres our cross country fences
cater excellently for novice horses and riders. From 2'6" to
3'6" all fences are built to British Eventing standards, most
benefiting from all weather take off and landings. Every year we
run the REC One Day Event with classes at 2' 9" and 3'. During
2002 we added the REC Two Day Event which included the Roads and
Tracks and Steeplechase phases of cross country normally associated
with a three day event. We also ran our inaugural Affiliated Horse
Trials at Intro and Pre Novice levels. During 2004 we will be running
two Affiliated Horse Trials and also adding a 3' 6" course
allowing us to run up to Novice level.
All facilities are available to hire both by the hour and by the
day. See the price list for
further information.
Richmond Equestrian Centre is also a thriving livery yard with
45 permanent stables offering DIY livery. Liveries have free use
of the facilities when available including use of the horse walker
and the cross country course when open. For more information on
livery see the livery pages.
We hope to see you soon.
