Richmond Equestrian Centre is situated off the A1 between the North Yorkshire Moors and the
Yorkshire Dales. (For a map and full directions click here).Set in nearly 120 acres is is the
most picturesque of equestrian venues.
As a competition Venue R.E.C. boasts some of the finest facilities in the North of England.
The two large indoor arenas allows us to offer both affiliated and unaffiliated show jumping,
dressage, show cross, and working hunter competitions, as well as providing an excellent
facility for teaching clinics and lecture demonstrations conference room. Complemented by
two all weather outdoor arenas and a grass working hunter complex and all weather gallops
with canter ring. There is plenty of space to ride, whatever the weather.
Richmond Equestrian Centre is renowned for its efficiently run competitions, good prizes,
excellent food and a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
During the spring and summer months, as well as show jumping and dressage, the Eventing
season gets underway. Built in 50 acres, our cross country course hosts two, three day
affiliated British Eventing Horse Trials over BE 90, 100, Novice and Intermediate tracks.
The Monday following these two events the cross country course is open to the public for
schooling from dawn till dusk. From May onwards the working hunter course is available to
hire on the outdoor grass surface.
All facilities are available to hire both by the hour and by the day. See the price

Richmond Equestrian Centre is also a thriving livery yard offering DIY, Assisted,
Schooling Livery and Pre- Show livery. Liveries have free use of the facilities when
available including use of the horse walker and the cross country course when open.
